Confidentiality Statement (Updated September 2026)
At Cypher Law, we are committed to protecting the confidentiality of our clients’ information. We are bound by the Law Society of Ontario’s Rules of Professional Conduct and by Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
No Retainer, No Confidentiality: Please note that sending us information through this Site or by email does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Until a formal retainer agreement is in place, any information you provide is not considered confidential and should not be sent.
Once Retained: After a lawyer–client relationship is established, all communications and information you share with us will be treated as strictly confidential and safeguarded in accordance with professional rules and applicable privacy legislation.
